Chase the quotes
you already sent.

A sent quote is work you have already done. We set up reminders that follow each quote, and a short list of the ones that need a call from you.

Why it matters

Quotes go unanswered for ordinary reasons. The customer is comparing, waiting on a partner or a manager, or simply forgot. A polite reminder brings yours back to the top of their inbox.

Without one, a quote you spent an hour on can sit untouched for weeks. The reminder costs nothing to send and often gets the conversation going again.

How it works in practice

  1. The quote is loggedWhen a quote or proposal goes out, the date and the job are recorded.
  2. A reminder a few days laterA short message asks whether they have any questions about it.
  3. A second, different messageIf there is still nothing, it offers to adjust the scope, the timing or the price breakdown.
  4. A call list for youQuotes with no answer show up on a short list, so you know who to ring.
  5. Outcomes are markedWon and lost quotes are recorded, so you can see which work you tend to win.

Any questions on the quote?

Hi Sarah, just following up on the quote for the office fit-out I sent on Monday. If anything needs explaining, or the scope needs to change, reply here and I will update it.

Leo

TextA week later

Hi Sarah, it’s Leo. Is the fit-out still going ahead this quarter? If the budget has moved, I can price a smaller first stage.
